HAPPY TAILS
Stella
Stella was tagged for rescue on the day she was to be euthanized because there was no more room at the shelter.
Hope
This is Hope. was brought to a shelter, along with her three siblings, in poor shape. They were all starved, underweight and had no social skills with people. After a couple of weeks at the Dog House, look at her, all settled in at her furever home. Her new name is Bailey.
Sophie
Sophie was rescued the day she and her sister, Stella, were set to be euthanized because they had run out of time at the shelter. This little girl is love and, thankfully, has found her furever home with Cam and Jennifer who don’t mind sharing the sofa with her.
Snoopy (now Bear)
Snoopy, now Bear, was rescued the day he was scheduled to be euthanized, at only 15 months old. His crime? Being one dog too many at the shelter. He made his way to NY from TX and is now in his furever home getting the love he so deserves.
Gia
Gia was undoubtedly our problem child. She had already failed two adoptive homes when she came to us. It took several months, but she finally found her human dad and lives on a small farm upstate, guarding livestock from predators, and sleeping in her own room inside at night.
Freddy
Freddy is a little Napoleon and was returned twice before finally finding someone willing to put the effort into making it work. Freddy has little dog attitude, but that comes from fear. With training, love and consistency, he has become a little diva and is adored in his new home.
Toby & Lily
We thought Toby & Lily would be with us forever. When they arrived from SC, they were feral. While their sisters were more easily socialized, Toby and Lily remained human shy. We put the effort into training and consistency and they have been adopted together and are living with their fur-brother in NH. I have to say, I miss these two, but I am so happy they found someone to love them.
Miruko
Miruko is sister to Hope, Toby & Lily. This beautiful girl found her forever home with a Rottie fur-sister in CT and is being spoiled with home cooked meals and lots of love.
Celeste & Fiona
When Fiona arrived from SC, we had no idea she was in the family way. By the time we realized, she already had a pending adopter. Her adopter was so in love with Fiona that she waited for the pups to be born and weaned before adopting not only Fiona, but one of her daughters. They are now Maze & Freya. They are living their best lives and couldn’t be loved more.
Pax
Pax is one of Fiona’s boys. He is now Benny and is living the good life with his human siblings. He also goes to doggy day care where he has made friends.
Odin
Odin is a bundle of energy who needed an owner with GSD experience, and we found that. He is now living his best life with an Australian shepherd with an owner who understands the specific needs of a GSD and trains him regularly.
Coco
Fiona’s daughter and doppelganger. This little girl is the spitting image of her mother. She is living the good life where she is regularly spoiled and adored.
Amala
This beauty came to us from SC. High energy, but absolutely loving, Amala found her forever as a one and only where she is getting 100% of her dad’s love and attention.
Margaret
Margaret was at risk of being euthanized when I tagged her for rescue. See, when dogs are owner surrenders down south, that’s what usually happens. Margaret was a little shy when she first arrived, but quickly settled in with our pack and now lives with a feline sister up in Albany.
Danny (now Bubba)
Danny is a big chunk who came to us when his owner fell on hard times. It took a little while, but we were finally able to find him the perfect home where he is adored and has been referred to as “a life line”.
Drambuie
It was love at first sight when Drambuie’s new mom met her. Without hesitation, she decided to take this little bit and make her a part of her family.
Max
Max was part of a litter of four puppies who were rescued out of GA. While we had hoped to trap mom as well, we were able to give four of her babies a chance. Max is now part of a new family with a Great Dane fur-sister.
Hermione
Hermione (sister to Max) is absolutely adored in her new home with two human brothers and a mom who is making sure this girl gets everything she needs.
Leo
Leo is brother to Max and Hermione. He is currently living his best life in Queens, NY where he is being spoiled rotten.
Kahlua
Kahlua (sister to Drambuie) is her human mom’s pampered baby. Not sure if the cat is a fan but I hear Kahlua is respecting the boundaries.
Yodi
Yodi was saved from TX where someone was threatening to shoot him because he was a nuisance dog. Now, this baby has found a loving home.
Waffles
This beautiful mastiff mix is now living with two fur siblings in CT, getting loads of love and attention.
Holly
Holly B-golly. This one is bittersweet. Completely human shy when she arrived, Holly was with us for seven months before finding her forever. Holly girl, I'll miss you.
Clfford
Clifford has been adopted and is settling in beautifully with his new brother.
Wilma
Wilma has been adopted and is now Scarlet Gray.
